Our client is one of the UK’s largest energy supply companies. They are involved in everything from generation and transmission to the distribution and supply of electricity and gas to both residential and business customers.

Due to current expansion plans they are now looking to bring on a Complex Gas Hedging Manager to join their portfolio management team on the retail side of the business. This person will lead and manage a small team of analysts and work closely with Risk Management, Structuring and Modelling. They will be responsible for leading and influencing the modelling team and will need to inform them of the modelling agenda and validate the process. They will be involved in managing structured deals, looking at co ordinating and updating the approval process with all stakeholders and ensuring the process is then transacted.

Candidates will need to have an energy background with knowledge of modelling techniques. They need to have experience of stakeholder management and liaising at a senior level. Ideally they will have experience of the approval process and report writing. This person need to be a strategic thinker with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
