Our Client is the UK’s largest water and wastewater services company who supply over 8.5 million customers everyday. Due to a major re-organisation within the company, they are looking to bring on an Operations Manager who will lead a set of Production teams that produce water to meet customer demand and water quality targets.

The Operations Manager will operate their own business unit in terms of performance, finance and people targets and they will play a leading part in transforming the company into a leaner production unit to achieve tough regulatory targets. They will manage operational sites across the company to meet regulatory and H&S requirements and ensure every site is a safe working environment for staff and third parties alike. They will create improvement plans to deliver sustainable reductions to operational expenditure.

The Operations Manager will have overall ownership of budget for this area of the business and will look to minimise business risk and meet company, regulatory and statutory obligations within this crucial part of the organisation. They will provide clear leadership and line management support to a diverse and geographically spread team and also develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of production plan delivery.

Candidates will have a number of years experience of working within the Water or related sector with a proven track record of delivery in an operational environment along with line management & employee development experience. They will have the ability to consult with, influence & manage stakeholders to deliver a business plan, be able to challenge the status quo and introduce new ways of improving performance. Candidates will be educated to at least Degree level.
